I should have mentioned (for those that don't already know) you can fish yarnies a number of ways.
From the bank you can drift fish them or fish them under a float.
From a boat you can side drift or bobberdog them.
The great thing about these being so easy and cheap to make is you can quickly swap em out until you find the color/scent combination that is working. If you combine them with eggs the egg membrane (snot) will wrap around the yarnie making it fishable even after the egg cluster is pretty much spent (which means a few more casts before rebaiting).
