oh man! [sad] [sad] That's the same day as the Sun Lakes resort derby at Park Lake I do every year~ bummer cannot attend this year then. Darn really enjoyed this event but maybe I can come up and fish Sunday and Monday after I drop my wife off in Wenatchee!

Too bad. No matter what weekend we pick it's likely to conflict with something. #-o

I am officially making this a FIRM DATE. Saturday, May 14th. Location - we are still looking into the State Park vs. the City Park. Stay tuned...

Thanks, Mike. I plan to call the State Park home for the weekend either way & will join the festivities wherever you choose to host.

On the contrary, bring it to Chelan and it will get the best christening you could give it!

Are the State and City Parks near one another? I am only familiar with the Boat Launch and camping/park, on the left when reaching the Northern city limits of Chelan, when driving on Hwy 97. I've passed by that park several times, never paying attention to whether a State or City Park. So, which is which, and where is each located?

The state park is uplake 7-8 miles from the blue roofed condos, the city park is at the end of the lake in town, and Mills Bay is about 5 miles uplake on the Manson side of the lake.

When we decide for sure which location it is we will post a map.

Where does 25 mile creek fit in the mix? Is 25 mile creek and the "State Park" one and the same?

Is it possible for WaLakes to represent both the Lake Chelan Kokanee get together, and Lake Stevens Derby, one on the East side, one on the West side of the mountains, same day?

OH NO!!!!
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

OK everyone, I apologize for the earlier "Firm Date" post. The May 14th date will pose an issue as I know many fish the Lake Stevens derby. Alternate date would be April 30th. Waiting to see if this date works. I already know it will conflict with something... #-o

Something Catchy Derby is 4/16.

We need to confirm the Lake Stevens Derby date. Aside from seeing it at the bottom of an events list I don't have an official confirmed date.

I couldn't find it anywhere, but it's been that second week in May the last couple years so no reason to think it won't be.
