Northwest Fishing Reports

A friend of mine told me he read in the paper that White's Outdoors in Spokane will be closing their fishing department. Stock will start at 20% off and prices will go down as the inventory decreases. Not sure on the dates or details, but worth looking into.

Just called White's and they are closing the fishing dept. They started the 20% off sale 4/2/07 and discounts will increase as needed to clear the stock for their deadline. Here is the web address:

Their address is 4002 E. Ferry, 2 blocks west of the fairgrounds.

They have a small fly fishing dept. and a large bait fishing dept.

I saw the ad as well and heard a blurb on morning talk radio. White's says they are making room for other sporting goods which sell at a higher rate than fishing gear. I will definately be going by to check this out. I would like to buy myself a float tube and the gear to go along with it. :d/

That was best fishing store in town too.

Has anybody been in White's recently? Has the selection of fishing stuff been hit hard?????

I was there Wednesday and the selection is still quite good. Most of the reels are gone, but there were still several rods left in the racks. Tons of tackle yet. I'm going back for a third time this week to stock up on some more gear. Sale was 30% last week, maybe it will be down to 40% soon!

(PS - In case you didn't know, White's is now closed Sundays.)

I was at White's on thursday and the selection of fly fishing gear was limited. The fly fishing guy "Barry" I think, was fantastic, and very helpful. Bait fishing stocks are still fairly good. Wait another week though because I was told that they are going to 40% off around the first week of June. Call first to verify as there wasn't a hard date at this time. They are going to keep lowering the discounts until about October when they plan to have everything gone. So a few more months before the killer deals. New to the website but I am impressed with the content.
