Canadian Pike Fishing Drive In Trip

Post by Natebg1 » Thu Jun 27, 2013 9:20 pm

Hello Fellow Pike Anglers!

So for anyone interested who has ever wanted to hit a drive to WORLD CLASS Canadian Pike Fishery for a reasonable cost here is a great OPPORTUNITY! Last Mountain Lake in Saskatchewan Canada has a phenomenal fishery for Pike and Walleye. G&S Marine Resort http://www.gsmarina.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; provides great cabins and boat ramps that are top of the line with plenty of parking to accommodate more than enough vehicles with trailers. The biggest plus is that this resort has a restaurant, bait and tackle shop along with a mini store and a very nice fish house to fillet up any fish you bring back to the cabin each day. In Fisherman has rave reviews on this lake and resort and Doug Stange also recorded an In Fisherman show here with some tremendous success! Here is a good video to spark your interest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EN5LVxYN7Ek" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

On the average a small Pike is about 32 inches and a normal size can run between 38 up to 42 inches with plenty of opportunity at 45 to 48 inch Northern Pike. It is not uncommon to catch 30 to 40 Pike a day with a few 40+ inch Monsters in the mix. Also the Walleye are HUGE!!! We weren't even fishing for Walleye however while using a 6 inch swimbait a 10 lb 29 inch Walleye was caught and released from our group.

Last Summer a few of us went on this adventure for a week and had an absolute BLAST! We are hoping to start making this an annual trip but we figured we would open the flood gates and advertise to others who might be interested and want to join the FUN! We are currently in the works for planning another trip next summer so if you are interested and have some ideas for dates lets hear it. Look forward to hearing from you, tight lines!
