Report Form Tweeking

It's come to our attention that the drop down lists on the various fishing report forms are missing species, techniques, colors, etc. that members would like to use. It would be very helpful to Aaron and myself if you could let us know what is missing that you would like to see. If you could post it something like this:

saltwater report form - add crab to "Target Species" menu

We will be getting these items updated as we find time.

Thanks everyone! :thumleft:

Being able to link pictures like in the forum would be nice too. I don't really like resizing photos, it's much easier to link to my online storage.

Make it so when you are looking at the list of reports, the list shows what species of fish the report is about, so we don't have to open the report to find out it is about a fish we have no interest in. :-)

I'll second that! Steve

Put in the drop down list some bass fishing lures and techniques, sorta like: crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and other lures for bass: add to the list for top and bottom something like: cranking, frogging, & such. Not really much at all in the dropdown lists for very many bass lures and techniques.

Could you make it so we could select multiple colors/lures and so we can just select the lake without the county?

That's something we cannot do. We use all of the photos that sent in with reports. We would be unable to do that if they were located elsewhere.

I accommodate this as best I could. I added a few new tackle choices, but the methods you use are already there... we just try to keep them generic. Top water fishing from a boat or shore pretty much covers your bass fishing techniques.

Sorry... you get to choose one color, and selecting a lake without a county would make things a very big mess around here. Long Lake... Round Lake... Beaver Lake.... Lost Lake... you would have no idea which lake was being talked about.

Nothing major and if doesnt happen no big deal but for me any way it seems a lil weird. up top where it says home community lakes reports etc. it would be nice if for each of these tabs the selections would appear when you scroll over them instead of having to click on them

I HATE when that happens. It would be just like that long ad thingie at the top that drops down whenever the curser gets close to it, as you TRY to put the curser on one of those drop down menue selections. Then you have to sit here wasting time for the ad to go back up so you can click on 'reports' or whatever you want to click on. So if you want to read 'buzzbomb's new pictures' and the drop down for 'members' drops, you have to move the curser and wait instead of just being able to click on the picture/blog thing.

The problem with linking is if the link is broke then it's broke for good in our database and no one likes broken photo links. If it's uploaded it will always be part of the report.

No biggie, I always try to denote that I used it in my report, but under colors an option for silver, brass, or gold isn't there. Most of the time I fish with brass or other metallic spinners, and it's not there.
