Is there some kind of guideline written up somewhere that tells somebody how to gauge a "rating" for the day's report?
Is so maybe it needs to be more readily available, or if not, then one might be written up?
I understand how someone interprets the day's events are going to be highly subjective but for the sake of uniformity and searching lake reviews/ratings it might be a good to have some kind of system?
If I go to a lake and catch nothing that's not a 5-star day in my book. Maybe its yours, maybe its not, but if you were sifting through past reports and came across a 4/5 star day you would expect to open it up and read about some fish being caught I would imagine!
just a thought...
report rating accuracy...
RE:report rating accuracy...
It's a pretty subjective way of "rating" the lake. My advice is to not worry much about the ratings and put much thought into them. I wouldn't judge a lake by the "rating" that is given on this site. I think it's just a fun way of putting a bit of a rating system to the lakes.
The people who put 4 or 5 ratings for reports when they catch nothing are few and far between.
I believe there is a rating guideline when you put make the report...

Don't chase reports...Be the report others chase....
