Web page load times

Post by hewesfisher » Sat Jul 07, 2007 5:55 pm

Mike/Aaron - Just curious about page load times. When I open the WashingtonLakes.com home page, everything comes up right away except the featured lake section, sometimes it takes as much as 30 seconds for that feature to load. If I click on any featured lake to read the report, I get the same delay when I return to the homepage. Is this normal or do I need to check settings on my browser (IE7)? I've tried using a different browser (Mozilla Firefox) and it acts the same way.

Thoughts?

I have to turf this technical question to Aaron, he does all the coding. Unfortunately, his computer is toast so I know he is working on getting it back up and running. He may not see this for a few days.

Haha, nope, been on DSL via Spangle for over 5 years. :chef:

Thanks for the reply Mike, it's not a big deal just keeps me on WashingtonLakes.com longer. ;-) It would be interesting to learn why though. The old site didn't act that way so I was curious about it.
