Start>Microsoft Office>Microsoft Office Tools>Microsoft Office Picture Manager

Open it.

Tools>File Types

Select the first 4.

Click OK.

Now when you view pictures it will use this program. Just open, click Edit Pictures, Resize and/or Compress. You can do entire folders all at once.

I usually dump from my camera into a named folder like.. "Liberty Lake", then create a subfolder called "Web" where I put a copy of all the photos and resize them all to 800x600... that way I still have the full-resolution versions.

there is also a free Windows program for resizing pictures, it was posted but darn if I can find it. If you go to Microsoft's page you could find it. It's a tweaking tool, I believe. It works amazingly well.

I still think it should become a law adopted by WL.com and put up as a sticky thread, but for now we'll just keep it at a friendly inside joke. I suppose we could always hit the Judge up to put something together for us if we wanted.
