New website working for you?

Post by Aaron » Sat Apr 28, 2007 11:47 am

It's been about 12 hours since I made the DNS changeover and we are starting to see a lot of traffic. At this point about 30 of you have registered with the new site. Awesome! However, I am concerned with the lack of actual activity and/or feedback from you guys! So far there has been no reports posted to the site, no forum messages, and only 2 or 3 feedback messages from the Contact page.

Is everything going ok?

Is there something that is not working?

Log in and post or at least use the Contact page to let us know how we are doing.

Hi Aaron - Maybe there are others having the same problem I did when trying to register. I still haven't gotten an email reply when I submitted my registration earlier today. Obviously, my account is working from your "hands-on" activation, and I thank you for that.

As to a lack of posts and reports, well, maybe that's because everyone's gone fishing! :-)

You are probably correct... people SHOULD be out fishing today...

But it's like spending 2 months putting together an awesome party and sending out 1000's of invitations, and only 30 people show up.

No matter. I've just finished packing the boat and I'll be leaving in an hour or two for some afternoon fishing at Loon Lake.

I think we just have fashionably late party goers. I'm sure when every one gets back from fishing we will see the fruits of our labors. :d/

Once again, "build it they will come". Try surfing the net for information on Washington waters and the only site that has any useful information is Washingtonlakes.com

I've created a monster!

I have a HUGE amount of fixes and little adjustments/tweaks and additions that I've worked on for the past few hours but I can't upload them to the server now! If I do it will most likely result in a nasty error screen for quite a few people. Guess I'll have to wait till 3am to do it.

Just yell "fire!" and everyone will run. I'm out of here so you can get to bed before sunrise.

But I did notice a minor problem if you check out my post about the green river I tried to put the font size in size 8 but insted it kept it at the normal size and it says "font size 8" at the beging of my post. Again not a problem and I doubt anybody minds but I undestand with new web pages there will be bugs and Im just trying to help out. But keep up the good work guys, you doing GREAT

While I COULD go edit it for you, I think you should go do it yourself so you can see what you did wrong. You have 3 size statements in there, 1 of which is malformed. Remove them all except 1 and make sure you use the opening and closing brakets correctly.

It's a great site guys. Nice work. Don't worry about anything, because if you screwed up badly, no one would be here talking about it.
