Suggestion for hotlinks

Post by Matt » Fri Oct 14, 2011 5:47 pm

Just noticed when clicking a hotlink in a thread it navigates the current window to the link, I think it would be ideal if the link opened in a new window so when you are done viewing it you can close the window and are still at WAlakes.

Just a thought.

Working on it. When this link opens in a new window you will know I've succeeded.

Working now. Probably won't work on existing links, but new links will open in new windows.

I taught myself a shortcut to this a long time ago. With Firefox I right click on the hotlink and select "Open link in new tab". That always works no matter how the forum software is set and I use it here and on other forums I visit (have a tab open now from one of my car forums). [wink]

I HATE 'new tabs'. I use 'open in new window'. :-)

Another trick is to hold down the CTRL button when you click a link. It's much faster than right clicking when you have multiple links you want opened... especially if they are links to photos... you can just hold it down and click...click...click...click... and you have a number of new tabs with a photo in each.
