wooden rod holder/case, thingy.

Does anyone out there have one of those wood rod holder/case things that you sometimes see? I have wanted to build one for some time now. I am just terrible when it comes to using my imagination and dreaming these sort of wood projects up... but I can copy most anything pretty well.
check out http://www.kenswaterwheel.com/W2522_std.jpg

That is sort of what i am talking about, but if you've got a cool one at home I'd sure appreciate some detailed pics. if you wouldn't mind PM' ing me with them. And if you wouldn't mind having a clone out there in the world. HA.

Thanks in advance

edit: I have googled alot for plans for such..... you can usually find plans for anything for like 20 bucks, but all I found was one cheesy looking one.

I'd suggest going to a store (Joes or something like Orvis) because often times many of them have similar models to display their rods. It save you some money by not having to purchase plans, and you could get a good look at it and then go home and either duplicate it or throw in some new twists to it to make it more unique...

Unless you are really into wood working and have all the tools needed, I would just go out and buy one. The cost of materials in the last few years has gone through the ceiling. Cabela's has several in many different configurations. Here is one for a good price:

Marc, I am actually more into the "Woodworking" aspect of it, than anything else. I have a full shop with all the tools, and stuff like this takes me through the slow fishing times.
Thanks for the link though.... some how I missed it when I went to Cabellas website
