glastron876, that is some good info. Something I haven't heard before. I'll try it and weigh the fish to see how accurate it is. Thanks man.

Oh, on to that lying thing:
I have not caught a fish bigger than my imagination and never have I caught a fish smaller than I have wanted.

pictures can seem to be deceiving some times. took several of a bass i figured was no more than 7lbs decided to have it mounted so i had it weighed on a certified scale and went 8.4lbs. 22''

I would say I'm honest about the fish I get to shore (I only measure and talk about them length-wise though, and typically take a picture)... Now the fish that get away... I talk about them in pounds and they tend to triple in size by the time I get home :cheers: (wouldn't want to sell the fish short).
