Hey guys -
Does anyone know anything about those blue & white creek / river signs along the highway, with the pictures of fish on them?
Are they indicating that there are indeed fish in that water-way?
Are they only on the West side (Olympic Peninsula,) or are they state wide?
Does the direction the fish picture is heading have any meaning?
They seem to be gradually disappearing from the highways.
Anything you can tell me about these signs would be awesome!

I know the signs you are talking about, but I dont know of the river/creeks. I have only seen those signs in western WA. I dont know for sure but I always thought there were pollution signs. Just indicating that the water in that creek goes out into another river or to saltwater where fish are. Trying to discourage people of throwing trash or polluting that river/creek because it will have an impact on fish. But I dont know for sure so I could be wrong

I think they are only in western washington, on both sides of the sound. They are all over the place where i live, and there are alot on the way to neah bay.
when i visit family in eastern washington though i dont think ive seen them.
i agree with what gpc said, about the polution and stuff.

They denote spawning rivers and creeks. Take care, no garbage...... you know the drill. Be good the fish are making more for us.
