Home Defense Shot Gun?

Post by sellis_414 » Sat Mar 19, 2011 9:39 pm

Recently in my neighborhood I believe there may be a need for a new purchase for the bedroom... Last night we had several break-in's in vehicles in our neck of the woods. Assuming they tried in my vehicle too. No such luck cause the doors were locked... I am very well protected with a .40 and multiple other guns in my night stand... But this one caught my eye...

I may need a to purchase one of these!

I have the Winchester Defender 12 gauge at home, holds 6 in the tube. The Mossberg is also a good inexpensive choice for home protection.

I've got an ancient Ithica 20 ga pump gun that is my home defense shotgun. Between it and a 9mm handgun my INSIDE the house defense bases are covered.

I've recently been shoppin' around too. The one that catches my eye is the mossberg J.I.C. 500 cruiser. Sweet piece o' steel! This is the newer model J.I.C. II.

I like that.. A LOT!

My buddy was looking at getting one of these. Kel-Tec Shotgun (KSG)

The KSG weighs 6.9lbs and is as compact as legally possible with a 26.1" overall length and an 18.5" cylinder bore barrel. Even with this compact size, the internal dual tube magazines hold an impressive 14 rounds of 12 gage 2-3/4" rounds (7 per tube).

I have a Mossberg 500, 20" barrel, pistol grip handle and a hand grip on the slide. Also has a mount on the tube for a flashlight. It is a good house gun and fun to shoot. It is a tab bit rough on the wrist though.....

Count me in, I'll use my .22 on the squirrels. I'd have to get a hunting license, haven't hunted in 20 or more years, but keep thinking about it. I'll even put the scope on it, or maybe on the .223. :-"

The AA12's are so sick.... saw them on history channel a while back and also virtually played with them in Call of Duty, haha!

Ok lets get real folks.. shotguns are HANDS DOWN the best home defense weapon.... but what about zombies?? I would take a .40 on my hip and a semi auto barrel fed shotty in my hands any day when zombiepocalypse finally hits!

Yup, shotguns and hatchets/axes are the best for Zombie warfare. Ya have to cut off or blow off their heads to kill them. And keep your brains covered at all times. Brains are a delicacy to them.

Funny thing, the neighbors tend to stay away from me, and I haven't seen a squirrel in a long time..........
