Biggest senior moment (doesn't have to be fishing related)

Post by iPodrodder » Thu Aug 09, 2007 5:23 pm

Not me, but my dad. We were staying in a hotel near Pasco, and it was our last day. We packed up, then he and I went to get breakfast inside. I checked the room one last time, and I found the toiletry bag. I went to go put it in the car with my dad. Well, wouldn't you know it. Our car and keys had disappeared within the last 30 minutes. My dad called 911, and we frantically searched all around the hotel's parking lots. We found the car half an hour later in a parked about 1000 feet away. Somehow, the keys appeared in my dad's pocket, and we drove off. Another hour later, after reliving the morning's events, my dad remembered moving the car, then promptly forgetting that he did so. To this day, I still don't know how he got the keys, or if they were ever lost. I know he wasn't messing with me though. He was out of it that morning, just didn't sleep well.

I have only done this one time before, but I forgot my fishing pole at home. Luckily we didn't get far before I realized my stupid mistake. I would feel more stupid about this, but I have friends that have done the same. Thank god I am not the only one.
