NFL Opening Weekend

Post by raffensg64 » Tue Sep 11, 2007 7:51 am

Hey folks, how did your team do this weekend? How many of you stayed home instead of fishing so you could watch your team?

My Steelers beat up the Browns this weekend (as usual) 34-7. Granted, it was just the Browns, but a decisive road win is always a good start. They didn't get any "air time" in this part of the country so I went fishing.

I didn't fish, went out grouse hunting and got a load of firewood. Got off the hill by the Seahawk game and watch them win with there defense! HAWKS 1-0!!!! Took a little snooze then watched the shoot out between Dallas and New York, LOTS of offense and no Defense.

My Chiefs choked, as usual. Looks like another long season. Help Wanted: Quarterback!

Without Jeremy Stevens, who's going to drop the key passes in crunch time?

Don't I know it. Dropped passes are the least of my probs. I just hope that Huard remembers what color jerseys he is paid to throw to. :-({|=

It was deffinetly time for Stevens to hit the road.I went to the Hawks and Vikings preseason game and in that game Shaun Alexander caught two pass and Stevens caught three and dropped four or five.Wich is very sad when your running back catches one less than a wide reciever.Hopefuly Stevens will do well with Tampa Bay.

Well Stevens had a decent excuse to be rusty. Seahawks ran the fewest TE plays out of any team in the league last year. Probably as a result of his poor handling in the superbowl. Overrated too. Good luck on another road Stevens.
