How are you beating the heat?

Post by FishingFool » Sat Jun 26, 2021 10:19 pm

Or did the heat beat you?

We got 2 portable AC. They can not keep up. 11PM and still 87 inside. The bedroom is a little cooler at 84.

Maybe run both units in the same room? [woot]

I have 1 small window ac. It doesn't work good enough. Yesterday was 100 outside, and 100 inside. Staying inside and keeping the dog still so he doesn't run around or even play a little. He was ok, but was feeling it. He's 19 months old and can be rambunctious. Fans on all day, and night and on now and will be on all day.

Staying indoors. Wish our forecast looked that good, triple digits here through Thursday, then 99/98/97 through Sunday. Already 90°here and not even 10am. [rolleyes]

Welp, we got a glimpse of your weather for a bit here. Lol

Wowza, Monday was quite the scorcher. We actually had to dogsit another dog bc their owner was concern by the heat with AC. Granted, the AC helps but not by much. Of course they want to play all the damn time too. Panting like crazy dogs. Gave them cooling baths twice yesterday.

What I found that helped me personally at night is to freeze I think a 1.5 liter bottle and wrap a shirt around it and cuddle with it in bed. Lasts much longer than an ice pack. If I had a 2 liter bottle, I would have used that instead.

Was 108 here yesterday, supposed to be cooler today, only 105. Talked to my buddy in Seven Bays yesterday and it was 112 there after 5pm!

Monday I had 114 showing on my thermometer. The channel 4 news said there was a reading of 118 in the small town that I live by.
