Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5500-C3 for sale

Post by The Quadfather » Wed Nov 28, 2007 12:06 am

I've got more reels than I know what to do with. I would like to sell my baitcasting reel. It is an Abu Gacia Ambassadeur 5500-C3 baitcaster, made in Sweden.
You can go to http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... &noImage=0

Go to the above Cabellas page to see a picture. There are also a user reviews from that page. I only used it probably 4 times since I had it. Doesn't have scratch on it. I am pretty sure that I have the box still also.
Cabellas sells it for $75.00 I'd let it go to someone from walakes.com for $45.00

Bottom line is that I just prefer a spinning reel.
send me a PM, I am in Seattle.

Sweet reel guys and a heck of a steal for that price on such a lightly used reel.

I'll actually think about buying it. Would be a fun reel to stick on a real light rod for silvers and blackmouth to fish off the DR.

LoL MoM, its Dollors and this one is Dollers, its a great deal mom! thats so funny how ppl can type a post and not even check for spelling mistakes. I try to check everytime, not that its nessisary, but it does help to clarify what your talking about.

Hope you snatch this great deal max, you got my vote!

You spelled necessary wrong. Lol.

I really wish I could justify buying it for myself, but it's a little too heavy on the pound test (yes, HEAVY) for the bass fishing I do. I'm also mostly a spinning guy but I'd love to try one out. This one looks pretty advanced so I'll let it go to someone who knows what they're doing with it.

ipodrodder,
It wouldn't be too smooth of a bassing baitcaster. It's not very low profile and doesn't huck real light baits all that well. Would be great though for Musky fishing or something that you would throw some heavier baits with it if your going to do some casting with it...

Wow! I am so glad to hear at least two people say that this reel is a little heavy for throwing bass lures. I think that I can cast just about anything, but I have had a horrible time getting this thing to cast spinner baits, soft plastics, etc. Whoever set me up with the sale must not have really known what he was talking about, because apparently you all may be right and the reel is a little better suited for larger thrown objects.

Yep. Nothing really meant for bassing. Where'd you buy it at and who told you it would be a good bassing reel?

Aha. And it proves my point that I know NOTHING about baitcasting besides what I have heard and seen on TV. No real experience.

Nessisary is necessary. What I have noticed is in the reply and posting reports on this site, the spell check doesn't always work. One time it does and the next it doesn't. I try to use my Word program because I am a horrible speller.
everytime is every time. Spell check is working this time around.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

I don't worry about the spell check too much. It's fine to have a few mis-spelled words here and there...

I just can't stand when people put together a whole post that is just completely filled with spelling and grammar mistakes....

Consider this thread closed... I did a sell/trade combination with Mike Carey on this reel. I am looking at moving some other stuff out of here soon.

I think it turned out good for all parties. I won't go into the specifics, but I came away with a Shimano Bantam Mag. 10x I will try to attach. a pic. This will work for my needs and hopefully Mike gets his needs met.
