WTB: Small boat ~10-12ft for small lakes

Post by Bscman » Sun Feb 15, 2009 10:19 pm

Hi all,

My girlfriend and I are looking for a small boat to get out into some small lakes this year.

We're looking for something that will fit in the back of a full size pickup and is relatively simple for the two of us to load/unload and carry short distances...we fish mostly small lakes--usually those with electric only restrictions and poor gravel boat "ramps."

Something along the lines of a 10-12ft jonboat, ~12ft aluminum v-bottom, or 8-10ft glass livingston would be great.
We may consider a complete package with trailer/gas engine for the right price.

I don't mind a little fixer-upper, but I don't want "junk" either.
Bare boat or semi-equipped is fine. No frills necessary.

Not looking to break the bank...

I'm located near Burlington, WA--about 60miles straight north of Seattle.
...and yes, we have cash in hand. :bounce:

Please respond here or PM.
Thanks!
Brett

Unfortunately I have no boat to sell you, but I do recommend checking craigslist a few times a day for what you are looking for...The used 12' aluminum boat market is hot and they come and go REAL quick, especially the good deals....
Don't chase reports...Be the report others chase....

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.
