Awesome deal on Ugly stiks at Fred Meyers

Post by triehl27 » Sun Apr 12, 2009 4:50 pm

So we were out trolling the sporting goods shops and stopped by Fred Myers in burien. I was strongly leaning towards getting a Ugly stick for $39.99.

When My buddy found a combo with the same Rod, and a 35 series reel on it for $32.99. Then on top of that he also found a on shelf coupon for 15%off one fishing item.

So for $7 less then rod alone and another 15% off of $32.99 I got the rod I was wanting and a better then free reel.

If is sux who cares!

It is a great little starter deal.

In fact I got one and my buddy did too,

I believe what we have is a price issue that someone didn't change the combo prices, when the Rod prices were changed.
$28, you get a 7' Med action authentic ugly stick and a reel with 8#test on it.

Can't beat that.

Sounds great for a starter stick!

My favorite trout rod and reel (until I threw it in cranberry lake...my hands don't work well when cold!) was a "storm" that I picked up one afternoon for $4. It is sold now for something like 39.99 for the combo. I had forgotten my rod and reel at home when I went to fish with a buddy, so stopped at Target. I asked the guy if it was the real price, and he said it was. I asked the cashier as well, and it was way marked down. It was cheap, worked great, and sinks pretty well also!
