Mandatory over time is killing me

Post by GeryG » Sat Oct 06, 2007 10:29 pm

I got this new job 2 months ago, and now prime fishing time, they hit me with
mandatory over time. I hope there will be some sunny sundays left in the next 6 weeks.#-o #-o #-o
One day a week off and 9 hours a day.:-k
Whats a fisherman to do. Well, friday when I got off at 3:30 I headed for Silver lake in Everett
and made the most of it on a sunny friday. I only live 10 minuts away. So I hit the big dock at 4:30 and fished
till 6:30. Caught 3 and had my bait stolen twice. Met this old guy on a 3 wheel scooter, who was fishing. We
talked about smoking fish, and other fishing stuff. He says he fishes the pier a lot. Looks like the trout are
getting active again. 3 more weeks left for some lakes, hope there is a sunny sunday left.:sunny:
I miss my trolling.[-o<

GeryG,

I feel your pain, being in the same boat. All I can say is it makes those moments out there on the water that much sweeter.

I feel your pain and on Sundays I'm torn between two passions fishing or my beloved Seahawks..What's a Northwest boy to do?

Man, sorry to hear of your good fortune GeryG. Overtime is a good thing. I worked last Saturday for some overtime and I made a third of my paycheck on that day alone. Overtime can be a good thing but for a fisherman a bad thing. I believe it's going to pay off for you.
