Trailer lights

Post by Jerry H » Sat Jun 29, 2013 2:02 pm

So I went down to Harbor Freight (I know I know not always top quality) and picked up a set of LED trailer lights for the boat. Installed the right side and moved on to the left side. Notice a small sticker on this one that says WARNING. ](*,) Then in small print it says not submersible not for use on boat trailers. #-o Of coarse i no longer have the recipt. :-({|= Off to find some acceptable lights so we can get the boat out on the water Sunday and try out the recently installed hydralic steering.

I paid $30.00 for the lights. Anyone that can use them for a utility trailer or something can have them for $15.00. Let me know.

gotta pair already on the utility trailer.
I've seen guys use these but they rigged a way of taking them off really easily before backing the boat down.

I found a set that are submersible at harbor freight in everett. If you have all the packaging they might do an exchange.

I replaced trailer lights with a set from Wall Mart. They have worked well for several years. -- And, were very reasonable priced.

I have them on a board that has the license and the lights. Lift it off and in the truck it goes when you back in.

Trailer lights?

Twice, once last year and also once two years ago at the Everett ramp parking lot. Some x#@& so and so, has wiped out the left hand LED boat trailer light on my EZ Loader boat trailer. He obviously hit it with his right hand trailer fender. Now I have a stick about two feet long with a white cloth on it that stick inside the light housing so at least the idiot can see the fender and light. Worked this year so far.
