Is September a good time for Humptulips Kings?

Post by kyamukun » Tue Apr 09, 2019 4:20 pm

Hi,

I sadly left Washington 4 years ago. Planning a week long fishing trip in September. I'm thinking of fishing the Humptulips for Kings. Will be in WA Sept 14-20.

I know there are a lot of factors in determining whether or not the fishing will be good, but in general is mid-September a productive time for Kings on the Humptulips? If not, any recommendations on other places to fish in mid-September? Or should I reschedule my trip?

Btw, I realize the 2019-20 regulations haven't been published yet, so places to fish and species to target will greatly depend on that. But I figured mid-Sept would be a safe bet in terms of rivers open for salmon.

Thanks!
Cam
