You cant beat the guarantee that Sage offers as well.If it breaks they will fix it,and if you have to send it to them they are located localy on Bainbridge Island.

DO NOT buy a single hander for steelhead fishing! You will waste valuable time casting and not fishing. At the least, go with a switch style rod no shorter than 11'. To get really serious get a spey set up in 13'. Both rods could be say, 6-8wt. Look into the TFO PRO series rods. Next get a LA real with a good drag, many options on that one. Next you will need a good line. SA GPX or the steelhead taper in a floating. If you need to get deep just put on a sinking head or you can buy a Head line that has multiple tips, type I,II,II sinking and a floating. The switch rods will allow you roll cast or spey cast farther than a single hander can even think about. The longer length will allow greater leverage on big fish to shorten the length of the battle.
