Password Changes and Blog Editing

Post by rseas » Fri Apr 10, 2009 8:34 am

Two short questions: 1) How do I change my log-in pasword? 2) Is it possible to edit a blog post? I know there is an "Edit" button but after trying from two differnt computers it doesn't seem to be functional.

1) From the forum, in the forum menu (top right), choose My Profile. Then on the left, choose Edit Profile.

2) Yes, you should be able to edit a blog post. From the member menu, choose Blog Tools, then find the post you want to edit, then click Edit. I just tried it in FF 3 and IE 7 and it worked fine.. what OS and Browser are you using?

Hmmm...still not working. Windows XP Professional, Ver 5.1 and Microsoft Explorer, 6.0.2900.2180 or SP2

Should be good to go now. It was an IE problem. I abandoned IE 6 years ago... the website only looks/works "ok" in IE 6. A lot of the graphics that have a light blue area around them are supposed to be transparent, but are not because IE is incapable of displaying PNG files correctly and it's too much work to fix all of them. You should REALLY consider FF... I gave it a try about 6 months ago, used it for a few days just so I could get used to it, and I've never looked back. The site is, at times, 100% faster using FF.

It worked and thank you. I did have to make the revisions a couple times. It appears that after completing the revisions you have to move the curser to the end of the document and press enter before you hit the save button...learning curve stuff and for me the curve is always a long one.
