Anything new? Friday we're considering launching the boat at Larrabee. From the launch we’ll be heading south and then dropping the crab pots somewhere in Sammish Bay. Once the pots are taken care of, we plan to wiggle our way through the Samish tide water and fish upstream from the line that defines the legal mouth of the Samish River. While the crab pots soak we will be fishing for Chinook with jigs or Buzz Bombs. At least that is the plan…but one never knows where we’ll end-up.

Whoops I just digested the regs and the Samish Bay fishery does not open until October 16th. Not good, and the crabbing closes September 30. Oh well I still have a day to come up with an attack plan for the weekend.
