NOT ABLE TO POST PICTURES!! (SOUNDING ALL TOO FAMILIAR)
Hey Guys...I'm having issues trying to post pictures. I've compressed them and they still will not load properly in the report section. And when I go to post in a thread it only allows a 'link', which turns out to be a 'dead link' when you click on it...however I'm able to upload pictures in my Blog space though...please help!
Thanks,
Mav
Thanks,
Mav

hmmnn, sounds like you and I have similar but reversed situation. I can't load pics
on the blogs but can on the forums.
I use photobucket.com,its free. Start an account and load pics directly from your computer.
When posting in the forum, hit reply, then go up to the image button(mountains and sun)
then your messege will appear as (img)(img) then put the cursor between the 2 images. Then go back
to photobucket and right click the image, then will appear "properties" select properties and a box will appear with
images code, highlight the code, then copy and paste between the images on WaLakes. you will need to have 2 windows
open for this.
I hope this makes sense, its much easier than I have described. Should you have any problems, send me a PM
and I can talk you through this process or even stop at your house. I'm no computer expert but
this works for me.

Mav,
I was batting 0'fer in trying to post pics on my reports until my last try. The only thing I did differently on my last try was reducing the size of my photo even more to around 40 - 60K. I normally reduce them to about 120 - 160K. I don't know if that is the key or I just got lucky. I was going to suggest that you load them onto your blog, but I see you have already done that. Nice pics by the way!

Thanks Kev and G...I'll give it a go...I also sent Mike a PM and email. We'll see if the server is having 'issues'

Hmmm, I wonder if the file name length is causing fits, or all the underscores:
41620085_Eriks_Guide_Service_Lewis_River_Sept_19th_2009_20_King15t
As you can see I was able to upload the renamed thumbnail and fullsize pic with no problems. I "think" it is the file length that is the problem. The last test I'll leave to you - submit a fishing report and rename your picture to something short and we'll see if it uploads to the report form OK. Nice fishy BTW.

I have run into that problem also when I have renamed a photo. If you can keep it to the original title (photo number), it may work better than renamed as Eriks_Guide_Service_Lewis_River_Sept_19th_2009_20_King15t.
