I would have to agree I dont get it either. I was told that the university of WA did a study on sockeye and planted them in the lake. Just like the elk herd in Enumclaw or Cle elum I cant remember but they were brought in by lack of term "white man" from Montana in the 90's and the Indians get there native rights dosnt make sense to me. There is good bad and ugly with it which I have seen all.

In the Skagit Sand Shrimp is the hot bait of choice. Has anyone ever tried bait in Lk Wa? I havent and I have never missed a season yet. First it was U-20 and L-9 s. Then bare hooks. Im wondering about a shrimp piece or Smelly Jelly Sand Shrimp flavor? Any of y'all ever tried bait with success?

I'm sure the same setup would work fine as bare hooks work in Baker too. I've always used Shrimp or Krill on the dodger in Lake WA. Just a little kicker....
