I was searching for an older article in the bass section and I only had 5 pages of posts to look through. I did not find the topic in those pages. I did a search using key words and ended up finding it. And it was posted in the bass section.
I was wondering where these posts are going?
Do you guys set a limit as to how many pages can be viewed in each section? (I noticed that the freshwater section has 9 pages)

RE:Older Posts Missing
I don't believe there is a limit. Searching can be hit or miss, hopefully we can develope a more precise search tool. This one is much better than previous ones, but still has a way to go.

RE:Older Posts Missing
Ok, take this for example, in the Announcements forum there are 39 topics but when you click on it only 10 show up. I can't pick pages or find older posts. I have to search keywords to bring up reference to an older post. Same with Website Requests, Classifieds, etc. The one that I see that has the majority of the posts is the Freshwater Section where it still has pages of posts to look through. 330 topics and 9 pages to look thru with 15 topics on each page (still not all the posts). Do you see what I'm talking about?
That's what I was wondering about before. How come there isn't pages of the past posts just adding up in these sections? I would think all the started topics would just continue to grow and not disappear.
I was again trying to find an older post to bump up and couldn't find it.

RE:Older Posts Missing
OK, my misunderstanding. I thought you were refering to the main site page database, which everything is permanent. As to the Forum and posts, that's something I'm not familar with. Aaron would know more than I.
It doesn't make sense that anything would be missing, but who knows? Another good resaon to posts reports on the report forms and not the Forum. Why don't you PM Aaron with this question.

When you are looking at the post listings, look down towards the bottom left of the screen. Under the "Who is online" area there is a dropdown list that filters out the posts you can see. Is it set to "All"???
