Pierce County WDFW Bio is looking for in-put on lakes for fall & winter trout fishery.
I found the story on the Northwest Sportsman Magazine Blog. The long and the short of it is the Bio Mike Scharpf is looking for suggestions on lakes in Pierce County to create winter trout fisheries Like they have in Kitsap, Mason, Thurston, and King County
I like Harts & Tanwax not to big to work with a 12' aluminum boat, ramps are in good shape and are free to use, the water is deep enough for them to escape the summer warm up making for some good holdover into the next fall & winter season. Usually trout planted this time of year are in the 1-3 pound range, Just my thoughts. Send Mike Scharpf an e-mail on your thoughts. Here is Mikes e-mail address.
