LOL - underwater cameras are not hard to find. I got one last year and I had to stop taking it with me; my friends spent more time watching fish then they did fishing.
I suspect that there are a lot of lakes, a few even in Western Idaho and Eastern Washington, with Crappie like that. Keep in mind that they found a school, and crappie school just like that.

Too much water, so many fish, too little time.

We used to have Crappie lakes like that till we wiped them all out. I remember in the 70's going to Moses Lake,Jamison,Banks,Potholes and so on.There was no limit on perch and crappie. One day four of us filled a 33 gal garbage can full of crappie.Lake Wa was another great crappie lake. Lake union now is a hot Crappie lake but have fun eating those polluted nasty fish.Lake Kapowsin,Tanwax,Spanaway were all excellent crappie lakes till the state poisoned them all to get rid of those panfish. If you ever want something to do with fishing to succeed ,never , never let the state do anything . They are great at screwing the fishing up.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Wow very nice. Sprague lake was like this 10 years ago or so. Very fun to catch once you hit a school. Hopefully they will have a daily limit of them for a while.

We got lakes like that down here in Arizona.

RE:We need a crappie lake like this
Comments on the crappie fishing of years ago are accurate. For several years at Banks the crappie were in the 4 lb range. Now 2 lbs is a bragging weight. Between the state and the overpopulation, the great ones are mostly gone. There are a few places that still have numbers. The days of catching giant unpolluted schools ready to bite are pretty rare, if they still exist. Good to know some others remember, though. I was beginning to think I imagined them!!!
May you be blessed beyond count.
