The trout are getting active.

Post by GeryG » Mon Oct 12, 2009 4:55 pm

Went fishing Sunday afternoon, and hit 2 lakes in Snohomish county. First lake was warmer than the second, and only produced 4 bites one fish, I was trying some thing new on the first 3 bites, cant figure out why the fish didnt get hooked. Had much better luck at the second lake, 5 fish 16" - 18" in 2 hours for me and my partner had one on at the same time I did, You gotta love those moments. I was at the second lake later in the evening, so it might have picked up at the other lake if we stayed the whole time. But the trout are getting active, get out there before some of the better lakes close. :-"

This is the golden time of year. The Bass are in a feeding frenzy and the trout are just getting worked up again.

I have always said that if it were not for hunting season, I'd live on the water in the Fall.:-"
Too much water, so many fish, too little time.

Amen to that! I'm always torn between hunting and fishing this time of year, especially when there is a great salmon run going on. And don't get me started on the walleye, right now they should be attacking anything that moves. Couple that with the lack of pleasure boaters and campers and it's fishing paradise across the State!

Gery,

I looked for your 2 reports and was unable to locate them. I was curious to know what 2 lakes you fished and what method caught the fish. Thanks.

Dave
