Argonne Ace Hardware Opening “Fishing Hole” Tackle

by Rob Holman - Press Release, August 29, 2015

The General Store has been a mainstay for Spokane sportsman for decades. Last year they acquired the Argonne Ace Hardware in Spokane Valley and have spent the time since acquiring it bringing it into the General Store way of doing things.

“We’ve remodeled and brought a lot of different products,” General Manager Jon Evans said.

The remodel includes over 1500 sq. ft. of dedicated fishing tackle and supplies, a new information board, custom order capability, a new “pros staff” of professional fishing guides and top brands like Super Dipping Sauce, Moneymaker Tackle, Mack’s and more.

“The fishing hole will be the place to get whatever you need for Sportfishing in the Inland Northwest,” Evans said.

Part of that commitment to angler’s in the Inland Northwest includes offering a 10% discount to Northwest Fishing Report’s members. Member’s will receive 10% of their Fishing Department purchases. “We’ll provide them with a special printable voucher on the northwestfishingreports.com website,” he said. “But for the grand opening, I’m going to give them $10 off any purchase of $30 or more!”

The “grand opening” of The Fishing Hole at Argonne Ace is Saturday and Sunday, September 12th and 13th. Seminars are being held both days, starting at noon, and include Don Talbot of Don’t Talbot Fishing on Chinook river fishing, Jerrod Gibbons of Okanagon Valley Guide Service and Super Dipping Sauce on using scent, and Kyle Jones of Kyle Jones Sportfishing on river Steelhead fishing. Other seminars topics include Scott Imholt from YJ Guide Service on Spokane area warm water fishing, and Shelby Ross of Ross Outdoor Adventures talking about Potholes Walleye.

Evan’s says he’s committed to helping Spokane area angler’s get the products and help they need to catch more fish. That’s why he’s putting together a pro staff to help guide product selection and hold seminars a few times a year.

“Pro guides spend a lot of time on the water. That experience and know how will help my customers catch more fish and that’s what were about. Taking care of our customers,” Evans said.
