The Outdoor Press was awesome! met long time friend and retired fishing guide, Lennie Mayo through that newspaper. I was sorry to see it go! Northwest Outdoors on public television was another great one, gone now! Don't forget your camera! Pictures are always appreciated!

Thanks for the report, glad to hear you are out there trying. They will come back. Interesting to hear that pink worked out for you because they have been ignoring my pink offerings and going for my orange ones. Believe I have had more hits on orange with a worm than I have had with pink and either corn or a maggot. Hope to be there tomorrow to see if what worked in Dec/Jan will still get the job done.
Strike Hard!

You guys are sure right, the Outdoor press was outstanding. One of my best friends and fishing buddy Roy Houle wrote a weekly article for the Outdoor Press, you may remember it, it was called The Houle Report, Roy was such a great person, he worked for Warden Lures, and was always handing out lures to fellow fisherman, he always fished with his wife Lois, she passed away last Saturday, now they are together again.

Will be looking forward to your Spring Canyon report tugboat101.

Yes sir, Roy was a good friend and I just recently heard of his passing as well as Lois. I have some "special rooster tail lights" he gave me years ago and still use them. Seemed like just the other day we were visiting while he and Lois camped at Spring Canyon to fish Roosevelt which they loved and fished often. Time flys...

apex, my feelings are the same, fishing out of Spring Canyon will never be the same without Roy and Lois. I also have some of the "Rooster Tails" that Roy gave me. He almost always used candy apple red "Hawg Boss" plugs for Steelhead, I still have the ones he gave me. What pleasant memories of a wonderful fishing friend.

I have had great success heading upriver from Keller launch. Not sure if that is where you were but I have had better success upriver vs. downriver from Keller launch.

I remember the Outdoor Press and getting excited every Friday to see it in my mail box, what a awesome paper and it was all about what was happening in the Great Northwest especially here on the eastside of the state, Hey Cueballdg where is a good place to start up river from Keller Ferry kinda new to this Kokanee fishing and places to try, fished Keller a week ago and was limited by 10 with my son and we went down river, I guess I am just looking for a new place to adventure too.
