What pier were you fishing at? Then we know not to go there :) I have been fishing the Des Moines Pier. I usually fish for about 3 hours. The most I caught was 37. The schools of squid have been inconsistent. Wed. night I caught 12 squid. Night try Seacrest tonight, for a change.

1/7/2017 10:36:00 AMFished Des Moines pier last night. Low tide. Very slow in early evening. Some action around 7:30 -8:30.
Smaller schools. Caught 15 squid. Lot of hours spent for only 15 squid.
I think I'm done for the season too.

2/1/2017 6:14:00 PMWow! Not sure if anyone noticed, but manyl of these recent squid reports seem be better around the new moon (dim moon) , and worse near the full moon!
