Went to Rotary park. Got there about 5:15, found a spot, and waiting for sunrise. Tide was right at high when I started fishing. Thought if there was anything in the river, that would be the time. I was fishing from a little 8 foot clearing. Already I've run in to the "I never fish except when the humpy's are running family". Without saying a word, a father and son squeeze themselves right in with me. Kid hooks me at one point on the front of my shirt. Normally I would move off somewhere else, but today I just felt like outlasting them, which I did. If they fished a total of 30 minutes I would be surprised. I saw a quite a few folks fishing both from shore and boat. I didn't see anyone land a fish. Probably going to be real hit or miss the next few weeks, and today was definitely a miss. I should say that I actually did catch something. Really surprised he was actually even able to get hooked. When I first saw it in the water I was afraid he wouldn't be in releasable shape. Fortunately he was.
