i have an older Skeeter myself, and im running a 23 pitch, at 58 MPH, with a 150HP.
thats loaded and to guys, im a big one :) shes doing great.

what i think is your friends boat might just have the wrong pitch, prior owner swap something?

squiders are too large for surf :) i see squiders with handles for 25 bucks clean, but good luck with yours, auction cites should get them sold. the "L" models aare also the narrow, right?

so true, i use a 8" regularly, but i carry up to and including an 18" trout pattern!
palm sized bluegills are in my box and work great!.

we use them on LM Bass and even the huge stripers!

use silicone caulking, mix the paint with the silicone prior to applying it, it will take the color you want, and cure in SUPER FAST TIME.

i get some metal type prep/primer, like th stuff they use before you apply bed liner stuff. the silicone seal, and the seal/priner are the most importana parts.

it can get expensive. yeah you do need a vice bps has a great deal on a descent kit that comes with pretty much everything you need. i would recomend getting the kit plus extra fur/ feathers. also check out sportsmans warehouse they have a great selection for people who like to tie there own gear. ...
