Re: An interesting find about the nooksack river---
This was written BY an author ABOUT an author . I still believe there is little to no scientific backing to many of these claims. I don't know where any of you stand with Wild Fish Conservancy, but Dylan Tomine is a Patagonia FLY FISHING representative.... I am 100% positive he has spent plenty of ...

Re: An interesting find about the nooksack river---
Thank You rseas! =D> Could not have said it better myself! An incredibly complex issue to say the least! Nets, climate change, habitat, population growth, pollution to name just a few unfortunately! Propaganda? Indeed as I was formulating a reply (not as kind as yours) and you beat me to the punch! ...

Re: rivers closed: snohomish, skykomish, snoqualmie, wallace
If they do this too often they won't sell fishing licenses. However, it did seem like the pink run was smaller than normal. Must be the warm water offshore. Totally agree that pink run this year was small. Usually go to a creek off the Stilly and it's loaded with spent pinks and have only seen ONE ...

Re: Worms in Salmon
Regarding all this worm "stuff">> Tons in larger halibut and cod and salmon it's just a fact! Spend considerable time in Alaska in the summer and am grateful for that vac-pac machine and that blast freezer at the place that processes my fish [rolleyes] Wife a bit off on fish now since she wanted som...

Re: Rain to open up rivers?
Saw all these emergency closures coming in mid June so I booked a late summer trip to SE AK to pound on the big Northern Coho! Just rolled in on Wednesday after limits of Coho everyday and saw what a trickle my home river the Stillaguamish was... Was as in past tense at the moment! Colored up nicely...

Re: November 9-10. Dont Miss Out!
I had a great time drifting and learning how to twitch jigs. I landed 4-5 five others and kept this big buck 12-13#, and the smaller hen. Who would have thought it would be a clear sunny day in November! Tasted great grilled up on a cedar plank (I actually use shingle under-coarse as they are cheap...

Re: Anyone else had a horrible Coho season?
Horrible season? Not really as they are all different and this one is one for the books! Like to stay close to my home river the Stilly ( 15 minutes from home) but with low water after it opened it can be tough! Never really gave it a thought since I was praying for rain and rain it did [rolleyes] T...

goodtimesfishing> A Stilly fish too! :-) Got "lucky" Not really just putting in time and technique and I really do like the quartering up and retrieve on a jig and twitch it back to you!
