small lakes and storm ponds

i fished a secret lake today with a buddy of mine that knows a guy that lives close to it. you have to walk 10 minutes through the woods to get there then the only way to fish is to bring waders, one pole and a minimal of tackle.
we get there at about 5 or so, and the sun was bright and hot with blue bird skys. not my favorite conditions by any means. lots and lots of weeds in this lake and a TON of bluegills. we were using senkos since they are the best choice for this amount of weeds. we both went about 45 minutes with nothing and he was a bit dissapointed the fish werent biting, i told him no they are just doing something different than they were yesterday for him. he was hitting good fish yesterday on the floating weed beds, today they were in the reeds in 3 to 5 feet of water. as soon as i found were they were it was nonstop action for the next few hours. after about the 4th or 5th 3 pounder i stopped taking pics.biggest fish was about 3 and a half to 4 pounds nothing big this time but he says he has caught a 7 out of here and his buddy caught a 10. only about 7 people fish this lake and they mostly go after chrome not green so they are not at this lake very often at all, you can really tell it gets no pressure. cleanest lake i have ever seen and the bass sure do bite. hopefully i will be able to fish this lake some more. i know its a private pond of some sort but they didnt really want to talk about it much. he did say its a rehabilitaion pond. not sure all i know is, it was ALOT of fun out there today.

thats my report from yesterday. my point is this is actually a flood prevention storm pond, its actually a series of them and has no fishing pressure at all. im sure most people dont even know there are fish in here if they know this pond even exists. i clearly saw a monster bass jump about a foot out of the water around sunset. its a goldmine and the fish in the pics are considered dinks for this lake.
