A deal has been reached!

Post by Ian Horning » Wed May 25, 2016 2:28 pm

As of 2:30ish PM today, King 5 issued a notification saying that the State and Tribes have reached an agreement on salmon fishing seasons, and it "could open as early as next week." More information is to come.

It still needs to be approved by NOAA.

Here's the link:

Let's hope for the best, and regardless of what the agreement states, do what is ultimately best for the fisheries.

I'll believe it when all of the participants have the BACKBONE to sign it. As far as I'm concerned the closers of Lk Wa. and Lk Sam. were illegal.

Not there quite yet......
"State and tribal co-managers may be closer to compromise as the standoff over salmon fishing season continues."

It's the whole may be thing. I didn't see or hear anything about an agreement.

Wdfw hasn't released any type of agreement yet. Until then my waders hang high and dry!

Oh, they have changed their wording since I posted it. Interesting... and disappointing.
