Too high to float Bogachiel/Quilayute his weekend??

Post by Guitarfish » Thu Oct 17, 2019 2:16 pm

Well, the annual fall Forks trip with my 3 buddies is this weekend, and we were planning to float the bogey on Saturday, from Wilson's to Richwine in the one-man pontoons. Timing is pretty bad, as all this rain has the rivers up.. The hydrograph on the bogey is currently at 29.01 ft and rising, more rain is coming. Seems like it's right on the edge of prudence, not forecast to flood or anything, but still pretty high.. What do you guys think? Should I bring the pontoons?

Don't want to do anything stupid. But, also don't want to leave the pontoons at home and then get there and wish I had them because its not as bad as it looked.. 🙄
