New to area looking into carp fishing the Walla walla

Just moved to Walla Walla looks like the closest fishing to me would be the mouth of the Walla Walla. What time of year do people see carp active there I have heard that it's a good spot for them. I would usually start carp fishing in Moses in April. I'm guessing the same here and does anyone see carp active in any other stretches of the Walla Walla. And no carp hate here. Just looking for some info on place I have never fished. Don't like carp keep it to yourself.
