I just searched the forum for "lake chelan" and got many many hits. As this has been a re-occuring questions and answered many times, I'd try that search again. No flashers, big quick fish, very deep.

Not picking on you, but the Forum is only one part (and a small part at that) of this website. There are hundreds of lake Chelan reports, multiple articles, and Audio files from one of our two active Lake Chelan guides. Oh, and a 17 minute video as well.
Time to explore the site a little more! Fastest way - top menu, go to Home", then "Search", then type in Chelan. or lake trout. Your can search articles, reports, photos... it's all there.
Cheers!
Oh, to answer your question - generally not, no flashers required, although for the chinook that may not hold true.

NP, good luck fishing Chelan. Once you dial in those fish it's a heck of a good fishery. BTW, it's deep water trolling with DR required. However, you can also jig for them and if you find a hump with good markings it could be a fun way to catch them.
