Saw someone on Myron, no idea the thickness. Lower valley tends to be warmer, but haven't been by. Elton had a bunch of people on it last time I went by. You can use a knife or scissors to cut a 2 liter bottle into a scoop, just use a 3/8" drill to make plenty of holes.

Alright thanks, I'll have to see if my buddy will want to try going to Myron for some trout and panfishing.

Just got done fishing Myron pond, buddy caught a trout in 20 minutes. Moved around to a couple holes and finally found a school of perch and caught 2 in ten minutes. I was still getting bites and the cop pulls over on the highway to tell us to get off the ice... spots we checked and fished had a good 6 inches of ice. Pretty annoying, as we finally found a school of perch but we got off the ice so we wouldn't get into it with the cop if we continued to fish and ignored him. Still a good two hours of fishing though. I'm thinking one of the guys who was about to fish saw the hole that someone had broke the ice and might've called the cops to tell us to get off.

Silver still has 8+ of ice. With another 2-3" forming under the snow.. still ton and tons of sub quality fish 3-5". In pretty much every depth you can fish

Wise move, but still kind of sucks. Thanks for the report.

Went to Rimrock 4 times last year and nothing to show for it. Those fish are finicky and have some serious lockjaw. But that was last year... Water is cloudy and the edges are sketchy.

Wondering that on the ice too. Might try tomorrow somewhere if someone has ice reports from Yakima or Moses area. Buddy wants to go again now.

I hope you aren't worried the ice has thawed.

It'll be my first time ice fishing, so just wanted to be on top of it. From your reply I'm assuming it'll be safe to head out.

Moses Lake is about 1K feet lower in elevation and a week ago the ice was approximately 12 inches thick.

I would think the fish lake ice would be thicker.

Take a spud bar, and find out for yourself. Spud, spud, spud! If you aren't sure, you're just asking for an accident. Better safe, than sorry. Stay alive!
