My son James and I went out on what we thought was going to be a ten mile round trip hike. Unfortunately the guide book was "a little" off as we ended up going 14.6 miles! The last two miles coming out were cruel. But, that's a fading memory and instead we have this video to share. Enjoy!

looks like a nice lake, not completely marshy and bushy all the way around like some of our high lakes get... thanks for sharing!. when those fish turn a little red like that cutt, they sure are pretty.

definately not marshy. If we were doing an overnight for sure I would have walked around the lake. The east side by Mt L. is rocky and would have required some scrambling, but looked do-able. We didn't have the best spot for making long casts (no room for a good over the shoulder heave). The fish were coming up and slurping the dry flies and taking the slow retrieve nymphs. good fun. And thank God for ibuprofen. The next day was the pain train.

haha, oh yeah.. nothing like a good 10+ mile walk in the wilderness to make the ol body crave pain meds.. heck i walk a few miles and i'm sore.
in winter i walk normal maybe 3 days out of the week.. all the others are ride or recovery days..
