Theres probably a million and 1. Check the map on the main page to find lakes close to you or look at google maps. Banks lake is another great one. Depends where you live in central WA. And if you boat or not.

Palmer Lake and Osoyoos are good bass lakes and a lot closer to where you are located....

sounds like what you need more than anything is a good boat though...
Fish doesn't smell "fishy" because it's fish. Fish smells "fishy" when it's rotten.

The Okanagon has a good number of Smallmouth in it.
Try some 3 inch curlytail grubs or some tubes.
A Crawdad Crankbait should get some action as well.
Smallmouith will hit spinners like the Mepps or bluefox.

In the spokane river I catch smallmouth on modified (single barbless hook) # 7 countdown rapalas of course this lure will catch other spicies as well but have done well with this bait on the river dont think color matters much. However on lakes most crank baits spinners and about any soft plastic you buy should be able to catch you a bass.

I'd be willing to bet that their are dozens of good smaller bass lakes that you can have good dock access to if you don't have a boat and you can get some fish off of. Just work the area thoroughly. If your limited to the shore, dont just make a few casts, make a bunch with a few different kind of lures, that way you can thoroughly work the area..

evergreen resevoir area and if you just trying to catch any kind of bass you gota hit fiorita rite next to ellensburg. its got a lot of cover just go weedless. if you can stick it out there are some nice 4 to 6 pounders in there cuz everyone around the area are only fishing trout.
