I'd love to go, but I won't be able to make it, I'll be at work still.

noticed you were from bothell

:king:

i dont like the lakes in the south end too much, mainly due to the traffic after a fishing trip. i prefer northern lakes.

let me know if you fish northern lakes, as my buddies and i go out every so often. mainly on the north side.

99.9% sure Ill be there. Id rather go to star or geneva or even trout but I dont have a problem with steel. The main reason why is because steel lake is a park and if its even half way sunny it gets very crowded with parking, people and swimmers. They also have a gate that gets locked up and Im not sure how early they open it. let me know what you think.

Hey, DT, What's up!

You're right about steel. The swimmers do not get into action until closer to about 11 am when it starts to get warm. Then dock fishing for bass from the dock boils down to practically 0%. Maybe a dink or two and that's it. The gates traditionally open at about 7 am, depending on the guards. In order to see big mama (Who I wrote about at other forums) you will need to park in the Annex and walk in. The potential for bigger bass greatly diminishes as the sun rises at steel. Getting there before sun up is important.

Bigbass Dez, if I make it there on Saturday morning, I'll be looking out for a pontoon. I'd rather go to union for smallies, but with I5 closing some lanes it might not be worth it. Maybe I can introduce you to big mama who normally resides under the dock.

Looking forward to a report. I would break out the 9 foot boat and join you, but I'm fishing at Lake WA with my club. I am anxious to see a report. My GF lives down the road from Steel, I haven't fished it in quite a while.

Man, I'd love to go, but that's a bit further south than I'd normally go (beaver is about as far south as I'd go). Shoot, I was down there at Enchanted Village last weekend. :( Next time! Let me know where you are going.

BBD,
You know I want to go but I will be just getting off work and that is to far a drive to be able to fish and then go home to get some sleep for another night on the graveyard. Good luck and I hope you find Big Mama! I will be looking forward to next weekend when I have off.=d>

At only 46 surface acres and about half of that covered with pads it could be a little crowded with the entire gang from washingtonlakes.com there. That being said, tight lines everyone.
