Help want to take the kids fishing and camping around Seattle!!!
We had a great weekend down at Horsethief Lake by the Dalles, OR. The boys caught tons of fish and had a blast but my 6 yr old missed out and wasn't able to go so this weekend we were hoping to do something like that again but this weekend we will be in the Seattle area. Anyone have any suggestions on where we could possibly catch fish and camp? Thanks for any insight!!!

Camp??? Seattle#-o As far away as possible and I would head East I-90 or Highway 2 over the hump if your pressing guppies and kids:cheers: :chef:
Much better weather, a natural hatch and better fish to be had in many many areas river or lakes or ponds:-$
The private times if you reach far enough will add to the trip/the natural time outs are pricless and hearing kids yelling fish On even Bigger:cheers:

Although I agree with Swede, if you just can't jump the pass, then here are a couple of suggestions.
Flowing Lake up by Snohomish. It's a Park and Rec. campground. Haven't stayed there, but it's close and supposed to be nice. Look at the Snohomish park and rec. website for more info.
Also, Lake Goodwin has a State Park on it (which is on the axe list) and is popular. Look on the State Parks website for more info.
Way-to-go on getting your kids out of the house.

Thanks everyone that has posted so far. We actually live in Yakima and know where to fish etc. around the pass areas and along the Gorge but have to be in Seattle for work on Sunday so wanted to be close enough to run in and take care of a few things and then get back with the family. So I know it is an odd search, lol fishing with kids in Seattle but just thought maybe someone knew of a nice little spot. Thanks!!
