Re: The Upper Yakima near Cle Elum
There is great fishing around the cle elum area. I toss spinners and do very well. If you have a boat or pontoon you will have an amazing day but if you don't hike the john wayne trail. It parallels the river for awhile in certain places and will take you to some amazing stretches of river. Lots of ...

Re: Whats your favorite switching rod?
Ok thought I would chime in on this. First off technique is way more important than rod. I've caught fish twitching on telescopic trout rods to heavy rods perfect for chum and kings. Medium light rods rated for 6-12 to medium heavy rods rated for 8-17. In my opinion it doesn't matter really. People ...

Re: Mirror and Cottonwood lakes
Mirror Lake does have golden trout and the hike is only a mile and very easy. The only golden trout I have ever caught was about 8" from Mirror and caught it on a spinner fishing from shore on the far end of the lake. Beautiful fish but they are hard to find and doesn't seem to have as many fish in ...

Re: Ticks, are they as bad this year i have been hearing?
Might want to check out using permethrin. Be sure to read up on it and how to use it properly and keep it away from cats if you have them. It is what the military uses to kill biting insects in jungles and other places where it can be a serious problem. Basically is a insecticide that contains a neu...

Re: Alpine Lake Wilderness
These are all good fishing lakes with Dorothy being the best in my opinion. Pack a small raft and you will be surprised with the quality and quantity of fish.
