New World Record Small Mouth Bass

Post by Amx » Thu Apr 23, 2015 12:33 pm

A guy at the lake today said he saw a 15 pound Smallie in Lake Sawyer. I guess I know where I'll be fishing the next 20 years...

Ok, the story: He said he saw a Small Mouth 'that big around' holding his hands and fingers in a big circle about 1 foot wide and 15 inches tall.

He then said "it was about this long" while holding his hands about 3 feet apart.

So I told him the world record is 11 pounds, and the state record is 8 pounds. I decided to not bore him by including the ounces in those weights. :-k

People have claimed to have seen carp in Sawyer. Personally I've seen a 2ft Blue Catfish in that lake
